So here it is - my thought.
If you havn't visited my food blog, you should.
For those that don't know me well, which is most of you :), I have a a passion for nutrition and eating well. It's my life and it's what I live for. I want to live long and healthy for Jordan and I want to give a good example for him as well.
I have been spending all of my time there - uploading pictures, writing and creating. Unfortunately I have been neglecting this blog. I really want to have an area that I can share, create, live and be myself.

So I am thinking of combining the two together. BUT, I'm not 100% sure. HELP!

I know I just bought a new camera this year but I LOVE the Digital Rebel by Cannon!

OMG! We are on the home stretch to his first Birthday! (I'll be strong, I'll be strong!) I am planning on taking his 11 month picture today, too.
But I do have some CUTE pictures and an adorable video to post! I'll get to that in a second.
I am almost complete with Jordan's birthday items - yay! The invites will be send today, the decorations are on their way, cake ordered, food list done and all I have to do is wait one month.

Ok, so I am going to just go straight into the adorable pictures and video.

Oh, and I curled my hair the other day - I havn't done this in years! I usually take a flat iron to it and make it straight but I wanted something different. Cute, huh?

And I finished Baby J's picture for his room! I love how his room turned out! I always wanted to have his room green and brown and in a jungle theme. I wanted to paint the mural on the wall but the thought of painting over it someday saddened me. Now I can save it for when he gets older and if wants to have it he can. =)

So I am not done fixing my layout but I did however find my missing camera cord! I was going insane the past few days as I had a lot of pictures and a video to upload.
PS - I dont know if I am going to keep this layout. It's a little baby-ish and now that we are less than 5 weeks away from Baby J's Big Day, I can see myself not wanting this layout fro much longer. *sigh* I dont know why but I get bored easily and I like to change things around. However I am indecisive at the same time and am always looking for the "perfect" one. It's like I can never be happy.
Oh well.

So here is a video that I could not wait to upload! I thought he sounded hilarious!
Oh and when the camera starts shaking that's just me trying to make him laugh - it worked but try not to get motion sick! lol

Baby J has popped his 6th tooth in last night! They seem to be getting easier and easier to handle (knock on wood)but the thing that I have noticed is that he get's fussy 1-2 weeks before it actually pops through. Maybe the moving down is more painful than the actually outing. Either way he is his happy self again! :)

Marc and I had a very eventful night last night! We attended the Layne Staley Tribute concert in Seattle at the Showbox. Marc had met his mom, Nancy, a few weeks back and is now in the process of getting involved with their fund and being a board member. Not only was it an amazing tribute concert for our good friend Layne, but all of the proceeds went to the fund to help heroine addicts. Ed Kowalczyk of Live headlined and was absolutely amazing. He sounds beautiful live and in person, and with his acoustic guitar he can can shatter walls and bring tears. There was a silent auction and one of the items was a guitar that was signed by Ed. $1200 later we are the proud owners of it. What we are going to do with is still the question. lol

We were honored that we were ale to meet Nancy and help her fund. Whether of not you are an Alice in Chains fan, heroine ruins lives and shatters families. Whether it's for this fund or another, please open your mind and heart and donate to something that means the most to you. You would not believe how much 5$ can make a difference.

Baby J is in the double digits - bye bye single digits! While I am extremely excited, Marc and I are very sad that our little "baby" is now turning into a toddler.
I have a toddle - almost. Wait, did I just say that? YIKES!
We are busy planning our housewarming party on the 29th of August. Calling caterer's, booking chairs and tables and getting the house prepared. We have done quite a few projects and we are just needing to finish the final touches.
And in the middle of this I am starting to plan out Baby J's first Birthday Party. Jotting down themes, making a list of who is invited, looking at pastry shops and making a menu of food. I promised myself that his second birthday will not be as big but I feel a huge party celebrating his first is needed. :)
Other than that life has been great! We had a week of HOT weather but the past 2 weeks Seattle has been rainy and cooler. I am loving it! I know, I know... I am the minority but I feel much better when the weather is crappy out.
So let's see... Jordan is almost walking! He is learning to stand on his own without support and is gaining so much balance. He certainly has mastered crawling and is very quick! I am on the hunt all of the time! His vocabulary is increasing as he is saying more and more vowel sounds and letters combined. He has yet to say mama :( - I know he will eventually but I want to hear it! EVERYTHING is DADA. lol

So onto some pictures! I was smart and took his 10 month photos on the actual date this time. No more procrastinating - ya right. ;)

And these are because I think he is the cutest when he eats! ... even though he has learned that it's funny to spit his food all over... sigh

So I need your help - what are or did you do for your son's first birthday theme. I have narrowed it down to monkey's or football.

Grandma bought Baby J a pool yesterday so we ventured up to her house to surprise her and to pick it up. He LOVED to splash around, even though the water was pretty cold. No flinching at all. He was even taking the hose while it was filling and trying to bite the water coming out!

It has cooled down into the upper 80's, FINALLY! It feels so much better in the house and outside!

I have no idea why I have been lacking on updating.
Too busy? Too hot? Too lazy?
Hmm... I will take all three!

Too busy: We still haven't been in our home one month yet and we are still organizing, having company over and taking care of everyday things too. I had more time when I was working!

Too hot: Seattle has been hit with a long front of HOT weather. Yesterday Seattle reached an all time record high of 103, and even hotter in some parts!, and 90% of the homes, including ours, do not have air conditioning units. The hottest I saw the thermostat reach was 91; and it's located in the coolest spots of the home. I deal with it, try to drink water and stay in front of the fans. We take Jordan out to the sprinkler quite a bit and he loves it! Marc hates it.

Too lazy: Well if I am too busy then how can I be too lazy? It happens. It takes time to type, to upload pictures, yada yada yada. I just took Baby J's 9 month pictures at 9 and a half months!

Speaking of pictures, here is Jordan in his 9, err 9 and a half month, glory! (It is becoming very difficult having him stay put for more than 2.5 seconds!)

And yes, they LOVE each other!

I had some great shots but only his head was blurry due to him moving around. Silly boy!

Since it has been extremely hot I have been putting some of Jordan's teether's in the freezer again so he can suck on them to cool off. He loves them!

AND speaking of "love", Baby J has kicked Lilly out of her new bed and has starting paying rent.

Hopefully everyone is "trying" to stay cool today!

Happy Sunday everyone! OK, so can I brag a little here? I love Sunday's. ESPECIALLY cloudy, rainy ones. I can be lazy, relax, enjoy time with family and do pretty much whatever I please. However, I love them even more that I am a stay at home mom now... sorry, just had to say it.

OK, enough talking. I have so many cute pictures of Baby J and us that I will just throw them all at you.
We went to a friends wedding for the Fourth of July and relaxed when we returned home. I did manage to put Baby J in his little patriotic outfit and snap some pics.

Jordan has his fifth tooth coming in. FIVE TEETH! He is loving eating solid foods, too! He can scarf an entire banana down in no time and I keep experimenting with fruits and veggie combos. He loved steamed sweet potatoes so much that I have been giving him steamed pieces to eat - LOVES THEM! He is down to 3 bottles per day with 2 full meals and a possible snack during the day. He had melon for the first time yesterday and enjoyed it so much! Marc and I are very good eaters and have a taste for a lot of food and hopefully Baby J will be the same. Actually, we cant wait until Jordan tries his first piece of "kid friendly" sushi with us :)

PS - I cant seem to find my camera cord to upload new stuff. It has me worried :(

I'm Back!

Phew! Boxes are un-packed (for the most part), pictures are hung and we are finally settled in our new home.
I have a lot of new pictures and video of Baby J - he is so HUGE and turning into a little man everyday! Crawling at super speed, climbing up on everything and becoming a little explorer, which is making me and Marc very busy chasing him around the house. He has also learned to climb the stairs today, too. (Yes, I am freaking out!)
So, before I went to bed tonight I wanted to just to say HI and update - more to come this weekend!

Well, we are finally moving into our home next week! FINALLY! Now all I have to do is pack. ha. ha.

Father's Day - Part II

Again, dinner was amazing! Baby J looked amazing and behaved so well!
Marc loved his Father's Day gifts as well! I made him a "DAD" picture, a photo collage of his favorite band, Stone Temple Pilots, taken by me at the concerts we attended the past years and Baby J fingerprinted him a painting. He loved them all!

We also had a great afternoon walking around our Seattle zoo.

We are having an amazing weekend! My dad came over and is visiting us for Father's Day and his birthday. Jordan absolutely loves hanging out with his grandpa!
Marc and I, Jordan, my dad and Marc's grandparents all went to a lovely dinner last night on the Seattle waterfront at Anthony's. To end my 2 week detox I had the sea scallops and boy were they wonderful! It felt great dressing up and I was able to fit perfectly in my little black dress that I had bought a few years back for a wedding. Everyone looked fantastic and we all had a memorable night!

I have been giving Baby J whole banana pieces lately. He has mastered chewing and swallowing puffs so I thought it might be a good time to introduce something else.

He didnt know what to think at first. They were mushy and he loved just to play with them.

Eventually he came around to them and I honestly can say he liked them!

So sorry everyone! I have had a hard time finding time to update.

BUT let me start off by saying today Jordan is 8 months old!

Marc and I swear that he grows every. single. day. We look at him and he looks HUGE to us! And boy is he quick! Crawling all over the house, looking for new toys to play with and very curious! While I cant wait until he starts walking, I am certainly going to have my hands full!
He also loves to stand. There have been many times where I go to set him down on the floor and his legs stick out and wont bend... basically saying "I want to stand, mom!". He has taken several steps by holding on to our hands and can stand by holding himself on an object. Not quite pulling himself up yet but any day!

Marc and I have been very busy these days. Finalizing our home, starting to pack, still having to go out of town a few days a week and just over all living. Now that I am not working I can finally get things done around home and pay so much more attention to Baby J. Today is my fist day! I know I am very lucky to have this opportunity and I feel very blessed!

We finally bought Baby J his high chair. I had been eying this solid wood chair by Eddie Bauer at Target. I really don't like the look of plastic ones and I had been using his Bumbo chair this whole time when I fed him but I wanted him to start learning to self feed. He really enjoyed his dinner last night!

The weather in Seattle has been amazing! Sunny, for the most part, very warm and such a pleasure to be outside now! Baby J seems to love being outside, looking at all of the flowers and leaves. I try to take him out as much as possible. He was even enjoying a night with the boys, too!

That is the sound of our house right now - Baby J says Dada ALL. OF. THE. TIME. Marc is in heaven right now... and actually I am, too! I can't believe he is jabbering and saying his first word!
And tonight he waved bye-bye for the first time! Of course to his Auntie Jayco :). Marc and I started squealing with delight as we cant imagine our son more than a few days old. Really, everyone says time flies... well they are spot on!
I will try to get these milestones on camera soon for everyone to see. He is just too darn cute!

And I decided to jump out of an airplane! It was my Mothers day gift from Marc as I have always wanted to experience skydiving. My family thinks I am nuts but that's ok... maybe I am a bit. :)

It was the best sensation I have ever felt! I was not nervous at all, very calm the entire morning and relaxed. I think I was to excited to be nervous! My tandem instructor was great! Friendly, always joking and really put me at ease.
It was sunny and clear - great diving weather! I did get a little motion sick after I landed, no puking just really dizzy, but it went away after a few hours.
I will definitely be doing it again!

For giving my sanity back!

His fourth tooth FINALLY popped through last night. Thank goodness! It took over 2 weeks and during that time he was very fussy, wouldn't sleep, fought and fought everything... I really did feel bad for him as I knew he was uncomfortable and in pain.
Today he was back to himself, happy as a clam! Now hopefully those little teeth can take a break from coming in... please?

Happy seven months, Baby J!

Well, Baby J is "almost" fully mobile now. He gets up on his knees and hands and rocks back and forth. He is soooo close to crawling! He does scoot backwards, though. It is the cutest thing!
We are getting closer and closer to move into our new home. I am sure he will be fully crawling by then so baby proofing here we come!

This past weekend Marc and I took a mini-mini vacation to Alderbrook again. We love this place more and more each time we go there. This was also Baby J's first ferry ride!

Some big news in the family as well - Baby J's first cousin was born this weekend.
Alexis Ray was born at 5 am on May 17th. She is adorable! We haven't had a chance to go see her in person yet as we are giving her and mom space and time to recover but they are both doing great!
These pictures were taken by my aunt: I just have to share!

It's sad that I find it hard to remember when Baby J was that small. Although he is still my tiny baby to me, compared to her he is giant! I am hoping to go visit them this week and get some pictures of the two babies together!

Baby J has popped his third tooth through! In less than 2 weeks he went from a gummy, old man smile to a sophisticated, "I've got chompers" smile! I swear I blink and he has done something new!

We also tried plums today for lunch and he gobbled them up! I should have got a video of him because her was making these "Mmmm" sounds while he was eating. So. Cute.

First time on the water this year

So Marc begged and pleaded and begged some more... and I said yes to this:

Well, to be fair he didn't HAVE to beg that much. More like...
"Babe, how about a wave runner?"

"Absolutely!"

Yup, that is pretty much how it went down! I got mine this past week and he gets his next week.
This was also Baby J's first time to the lake! It was a tad windy and not super warm but he seemed to enjoy himself with everyone and making designs in the sand.

Of course I took advantage of the scenery and made a little photo shoot. :)

I've also started to edit my photos for a different look and feel. I love my camera but after editing they look 100 times better! Here are two that I did that I absolutely love!

Here is the before picture: I took out Kurts scars/scabs and played with the color a bit.

An update... like I promised!

Well folks, Baby J is now 6 months old! In fact, today he is 6 months and 1 week! I know this is always being said but I have no idea where the time has gone! He is so big, so much fun and Marc and I love him more and more each and every day!

As for Marc and I we bought our first home together! FINALLY! He owns one but we rent it due to the past 5 years of him moving so much for work, so we have been leasing the past 3 years trying to find the perfect area, the perfect home for the perfect price. They accepted our offer last week and Marc has been on cloud 9 ever since. However we cannot move in until the end of June which is fine because that gives us more time to start packing and getting organized.
Ok... I am extremely excited as well. :)

Spring is here with summer coming right around the corner. I have been very good about getting my tush to the gym and have been losing my pregnancy weight at a steady rate. Today was the first time I have been able to fully button my favorite pair of jeans! The past week I still had a little bulge over the top so I was still using the hairband trick... not any more :).

Today was also Baby J's 6 month shots. He amazes us! Not a single tear, just a little fussing and that was it. This kid is so strong and tough... he also popped his first tooth today! We were at lunch and Baby J grabbed Marc's finger, pulled it in his mouth and bit down. Marc pulled it out right away and gave me the strangest look.
"I felt a tooth!"
We looked and sure enough! The top of the bottom tooth had popped through! It surprised us both because he has given us no signs of full on teething. Of course he sticks everything in his mouth and has been drooling for months but there has been no sudden, uncharacteristic changes that would have hinted he was ready to start sprouting teeth. It made me sad though. My little baby is growing sooo fast!
I tried to take a picture of it but this is all Baby J let me get... :)

This past weekend Marc, my aunt and uncle and I went to a little winery in Easter Washington called Cave B. It was a great little mini vacation to relax, drink and have fun.

If anyone has been to the Gorge Ampitheater for a concert you know the breathtaking views, the warm weather and the feeling of seclusion. Cave B is no different. Sharing the same property, everywhere you go on the Cave B property you are surrounded by the view of the Columbia river and the massive gorge that it has carved. No sirens, no street noise, no 1-5/405 rush hour... just pure relaxation. Ahhh... you make this noise a lot while staying there.

We stayed in a cabin overlooking the river. It was a good size, one bedroom with a full size bed, the other king size bed was separated from the living area with a wall that had a double sided fire place. Granite counter tops in the bathroom, stone floor and great sitting tub. The wall facing the river was top to bottom windows so you are able to have as much natural light in as possible. They were well spaced out from each other so you were not disturbing the other residents if you wanted to play some music and have the doors open.

The pool area is not covered so we were not able to take full advantage of that but just like everything else, immaculately designed with water falls and stone.

They have a spa (we did not use) that offers massage, facials and such. Also a wine tasting building - they make their own wine and the entire property is surrounded by their vineyards.

But the more we stayed there and got comfortable the more we realised that it was over priced for the value and the amenities they provided. They force you into eating at the on site restaurant since they do not offer kitchenettes in the rooms. We did bring a lot of cheese and meats in coolers which was great but there was no way to heat anything up. The only sink was in the bathroom so we were constantly going in there to wash the cutting board, rinse our glasses out and so on. The restaurant was so - so. Small menu, very overpriced and portions were small. The guys had to order two entrees to get full and dinner that night ended up being a little over 300$. Breakfast the next day was the same thing - I ended up skipping breakfast but there was a breakfast buffet (think continental breakfast at a Marriott or Embassy - breads, juice, eggs, meats, yogurt which is all complimentary at most upper end hotels) for 20$ or you could choose plates a la cart. Over 60$ for 3 meals. After breakfast we all decided we had enough spending that kind of money on so - so food.

One of the biggest reasons we went there was to try their wines. Sadly, we were not impressed, either. I know wine tasting is a personal thing and luckily all four of us has the same taste in wine so we all agreed on the tasting. There was a bottle of wine in our room as you entered - very inviting and one would think that this was a complimentary bottle since we are at their winery and all. Nope - 25$.

We ended up traveling to Quincy and found an excellent wine shop, Grapes, and had a fun afternoon chit chatting with the owner. We found some AMAZING wine and have a great time. If it wasn't for this little pit stop we would have all felt a little disappointed in our trip. For dinner that night we went and ate at a restaurant at Crescent Bar, Sunset Grill, I believe. Food was great, service sucked but for the money it was worth it.

Now let me just say that it isn't about the money - we all knew we were going away and really didn't have a budget to stick by. HOWEVER when you don't feel like the value matches to what you receive, then there lies the problem.

I know Marc and I will not go back there again, which is a shame. We will not recommend it to anyone either. It was a disappointment and we intend to let them know our thoughts so hopefully they can make some adjustments and rethink some of their decision making.

But like I mentioned earlier, the view is unbeatable, relaxing 100% and room was beautiful. And the drunker we got, the better we felt! lol

My little cousin is expecting a little girl in a few months - the second baby for the family this year. I decided a while back that I wanted to make her Little One a quilt of pink and brown fabric.

The first picture was taken in January and the second was taken today. I took the one in Janurary because I couldn't believe how pregnant I still looked! I have no clue how much I weighed but since I started getting back to the gym and eating a lot better I am down 7 pounds! My goal is to make it to my pre preg weight but I was still a bit heavy, in my opinion. I would like to lose a good 15 - 20 more pounds before summer.

While Marc was refereeing today, I had to make a stop to Joann's to purchase fabric for my little cousins soon to be baby girl. Baby J and I were having fun walking around, looking at all of the new projects calling my name when I headed for the scrap booking section.
Bad. Idea.
I used to scrap book quite a bit but put it away as it was consuming to much time and money. Well... I quickly realized that they have the CUTEST baby things! I bought one, ONLY ONE, lay out kit to do a few photos with.
Why do I get the feeling that this will start consuming my time again.... ?

My fabric is washed and is drying. I am dying to start ironing and cutting but I may call it a night and snuggle in bed. I am doing a crazy square quilt in pink and brown. It will be adorable and she will absolutely love it! I also found some monkey fabric that I want to make Jordan another quilt out of.

Well Marc and I must have gotten a wild hair up our ass because the past 3 days we have been on a little shopping spree - I love saving money but I love getting new things just as much! :)

Let's start with Baby J
He got a new Fisher Price Precious Animal Jumperoo! And since he is shaped like his papa his legs are too short to touch the ground still. So we have to put a pillow under him. He hasn't started jumping and really only likes to be in it 30 minutes or so, but I am sure it will grow on him and starts to love it when he can reach the floor.

Now on to me
We went to Costco and passed by the camera section. I love my camera but figured it was time to upgrade. I told Marc and the beginning of the year that I wanted to buy a new camera sometime this year - even suggested Mothers Day. After much begging and batting of eye's (ya right) he let me pick one out right then and there! Costco was down about 50 bucks compared to other stores so we knew we were getting a good deal.
I picked out the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC H10. It's not exactly what I was looking for but right now we simply cannot spend 500+ on a new camera. I have been playing around with it the past few days and I am loving it more and more! The zoom is amazing as well as the clarity. I need to sit down for a few hours going over all of the features and learning how to optimize my photo skills.

Now let's move onto us (Marc and I)

A Dyson.
It's still in the box but I cannot wait until we assemble it today and start sucking away! We are a very clean and tidy household but with two dogs our carpet is a non-stop fur ball! Hopefully this will eliminate the dust and dander floating around. Blech!

Oh, and there is one more HUGE item.
A brand new mattress. I have no clue what it is called but Marc and I had the best nights sleep last night! A soft pillow top allows our bodies to melt into the bed giving us 100% pure comfort! It's rather high, though, which I am not used to yet. We put our old mattress in the guest room so guests can have a "real" bed to sleep on.

Well, that pretty much sums it up! We have had a lot of fun the past few days but we are done with our little shopping adventure... for now. :)

Those are my three words of the day, which explains how the past few weeks have been.

I am feeling very lazy, so I am going to post a crap load of pictures... hope you dont mind :)

Here are some AMAZING pictures of Baby J! Look at him hold his bottle :)

Marc has been wanting to dye his hair platinum blond for a long time, and for his birthday I coaxed one of my good friends that foils my hair to do it for him on his Birthday. I didn't think I would like it but I really do!

Baby J's first attempt at rice cereal! He really enjoyed it but was way more interested in holding the spoon himself ;)

Palm Springs, California - We took a mini vacation to Palm Springs on the 15th. Well, it was more business than play but it was still nice to get away and be in 85 degree sun! Lucky for us we have to go back there on the 1st to finish up.

Hoodsport Winery and the Alderbrook Resort - Hoodsport WA
We won a wine tour at a silent auction last year to the Hoodsport Winery. Well, a few short weeks after we won it I found out we were expecting... go figure. So we had to postpone it until this year. Marc and I, my two aunt's and uncle's went on this little over night stay.
The winery was quaint and cozy but had some excellent wines! We tried 6, one being Pear which was my favorite! We ended up buying a case of their Cab, pear, raspberry and a pinot.

Both Marc and I have had a blast the past few weeks but we are very drained.

I am off to bed - I will be sure to post more now that my schedule is more open.

A quickie

Marc and I are out of town this weekend, without Baby J :(, but I wanted to update before we went.
He had his 4 months shots and check up yesterday - man, this kid is something else! First, he weighs a whopping 17 pounds. No wonder he is so friggin heavy to lug around! And he is 26 inches long. Those measurements put him in the 65 percentile range. And, this kid takes shots better than I do! He was laughing and playing, then all of a sudden he cries for a second, looks at me and starts smiling again. The second shot was the same way - no tears, no fussing, just a little cry and he was fine. He did however sleep for 4 hours after we got home... poor thing. I really couldn't have picked a better day for his shots because his long nap allowed me to clean the house before our trip. Thanks Baby J!
OH, and I a ton more photos and video to upload! I love month 4 - he is so energetic, fun, playful and a complete joy! Both Marc and I look at him in disbelief and wonder how lucky we are to have him! And how lucky he is to have us :)

So I have been a bad blogger

I haven't updated in forever! With working full time now my time is very limited and I seem to not be able to do a lot of the things I was used to doing. Although, a few unfortunate events happened at work and I am now back at home. It's a catch 22 - I get more work done when I am at the office but now I get to spend my days with Baby J again. I am still planning on going into the office a few times a week when Marc can watch him but I am not on a schedule. We are still throwing the idea around of me staying at home, not working but for now this is the next best thing.

So a major event happened a few days ago: Baby J has turned 4 months! I really cannot believe it! Wait... don't I say that every month? He is so much fun now and has brought so much joy into our household! Marc and I cannot even think what our lives were like before him. He is almost rolling now; he gets up onto his side but cannot get past his shoulder. And he has learned to yell, too. It is quite funny to listen to! I need to capture it on video but since he is sick again, his yelling has been cut back. I did take this video this morning. He is just so darn cute!
(and dont mind my stupid, lets talk in baby talk all of the time, voice. I guess that's one of the characteristics of being a mom :)

I have the itch again.
No, I don't have some rare skin disease... the itch to start sewing again. It comes and goes as time passes. I was sewing a lot before Baby J was born and then I had no time or any desire to even look at my fabric stash. Well, my little cousin is expecting a girl in late spring and I have been searching the net for ideas. Duh - of course I have the itch! Every time I start looking at blogs, websites, craft sites, I get the desire and need to start up again. there are about 5 plastic totes in the garage, stuffed full of fabric that I have collected through the years.

I am wanting to try some new techniques, though. I love modern, non-traditional quilts. And I have finally gotten the courage to start free style quilting on my machine.

So, if my blog gets taken over by pieces of fabric... well... so be it :)

The first of many

Well, the start of 2009 has brought Jordan his first cold. But since he is my little boy, he is taking it like a little champ! He is pretty stuffy but has no other symptoms, and still smiles and laughs at both of us. I took him to his pediatrician yesterday and everything sounded great. No fluid, just a basic cold. We have a humidifier in his room, thanks mom!, so he can breath easier at night, and his mattress is propped up at a bit of an angle so his little nose can drain better. It seems to be working great as his sleep patterns haven't changed too much. For some strange reason it is just taking him longer to put down but once he is out he will sleep for a good 6-7 hours.

OH! He weighs over 14 pounds now! No wonder my arm is getting sore! :)

**A few hours later**

I need to vent... is it too early to start drinking? Really, you have no idea how hard I am trying to not open the fridge and start pounding beer.
2009 is VERY bitter sweet for me. It's more like 95% bitter and 5% sweet. I would say 100% bitter but I am trying very hard not to view it as all negative.
2009 is approaching too quickly... much too quickly. It brings new beginnings but also new endings.
Basically, I am having to return to work.
I have so much hate, anger, fear and raw emotion running through me right now. I am sick to my stomach and the urge to throw something, yell, curse is becoming harder to handle. The ONLY thing that is keeping me sane is little Baby J. He looks up at me with his huge, toothless grin and makes me cry and smile at the same time.
Even though I have been home since his birth, I have had the added stress of still continuing to work from home. So instead of really enjoying the time with me and him, I have been stuck to this damn laptop... continually checking my work email, contacting my clients and trying to keep my numbers up. Well, since the down economy my numbers are not great. Sales are very demanding and when pretty much half of your client base is laid off, what does one person do? Stress.
I am now viewing my job as evil. I want to say Fuck It, turn in my resignation letter, hand over my lap top, clean my desk out, say a few quick goodbyes, never look back and be done. However, my boss has been very understanding of my situation and has not complained once to me about my job performance. He has worked with my schedule for the past 4 months and has been so supportive of my health: before and after.
And while this may come back to bite me in the ass... I *secretly* hope that I will be laid off. This may seem selfish to some but in my little head I am 100% thinking of my little bundle of joy.
He needs his mama. He needs me to rock him to sleep for nap time, he needs me to make his bottles, he needs me to read stories to him, he needs my face to smile at... and I need him just as much!
And while I would never bash Marc for his choices, unless they were life threatening, I cant help but to feel so much anger towards him, too. I look at him and feel that he is not "allowing" me to stay home with our child. And by "allowing" I mean he is very capable of supporting this family. He works very hard and never settles for second best. However, he is showing me different. I'm not going to get into his situation as it would be unfair for him and really no one needs to know that much detail, but I am angry - very angry.
So I am scanning around for nannies, day care's, anyone and I am becoming bitter. I am going to be writing a check every month for someone else to care for my child. I will be sitting at work all day long wondering if he is being taken care of the way I would do it. I dont want a stranger touching him, holding him, kissing him, I dont want to miss his little similes, the day he rolls, the day he busts out laughing, the day he says his first word, the day he can sit... it's not fucking fair. It doesn't seem right.

Well now that the holidays are pretty much over with, I have a few minutes to write and update.
The past week has been wonderful and relaxing! We were pretty much snowed in and Marc has had the past 9 days off, which was much needed for all three of us. He has been so busy with his wrestling tournament and refereeing that I barely saw him the past month. I ended up sitting at home all day and all night wondering what the hell I did to myself... I guess the postpartum emotions are still lingering.
Baby J is growing so fast! He has been sleeping 7-8 hours a night now which helps me tremendously through out the day! He is becoming such a little man and gaining weight like a little champ. Even though he is only 2 and half months old, it seems like he has been with us forever.
Christmas was a blast! Very relaxed. My mom and her boyfriend came over to spend the day at our home. Marc made an amazing prime rib dinner with acorn squash, fresh green beans and stuffing. And there was lots of beer and wine, too.
Marc and I do our gift giving non traditional: we pretty much buy our own gifts during the month. This year my gifts were all about getting myself back to the "pre pregnant" Tasha. I have a new tanning package, a full foil and new hair cut and a new gym membership. Marc got an electric toothbrush, a new cell phone and new dvd's.
However my mom spoiled all of us! *she always does :)*
My problem is I can never remember what I need or want so I am already planning my list for next year. So far I have: cookie sheets, a Dyson and a new camera... Marc, make note.

Seattle is a mess today! We got oh... 6 inches. Pathetic.
But since I am from Easter Washington where we could see up to a foot or more in one evening and still be expected to make it to work the next day. The problem with Western Washington is the lack of snow plows, experienced drivers and common sense. They just are not prepared for ANY snow. Now that I am working from home it can snow as long as it wants to! I do miss it so this is a nice treat. Baby J and I are rockin' our flannels today and drinking tea. Well, I'm drinking tea, he's drinking milk. :)

Happy 2 months, Jordan!

I cannot believe we have a two month old! Everyday he is getting more fun! He smiles all of the time and he adores his papa. Marc can walk into the room, say something and Jordan's eyes get huge and he starts to get so excited!
I have decided to stop breastfeeding, also. I am so proud of myself that I made it to two months but with me going back to work, daily events and him eating all of the time, I figured it would be easier this way. Plus, my appetite has been so small after giving birth that I wasn't consuming enough food or water during the day to keep up with his demand. He was constantly on me, getting frustrated. Plus, I developed thrush last week and have been in constant pain. Again, I am so happy and pleased that I lasted a full 2 months!
We had our family Holiday get together this past Saturday. Jordan did great! All smiles and happy to see and meet everyone. That was also the first day of snow for winter 2008/2009. It has been bitter cold and very frozen! Baby J and I have been snuggling all day, keeping warm.
OH! And he held his bottle for the first time today! It was a little too heavy for him to keep it in his mouth but he was holding it up! He really does amaze me everyday! :)

So, Baby J is horrible at sleeping. I love him, but this is not his best side. I have been having to co sleep with him the past 3 weeks because it is the only way I was able to get any sleep. The down side: Marc was worried that he might squish him so he slept on the couch. AND Baby J takes after his father's bad eating habits and is super loud! I know it wakes Marc up and I feel awful since he has to get up so early and go to work.
I have been trying to get him on a routine at night but I ended up so frustrated after he was down for 5 minutes then right back awake. So I bagged the idea. Well the past few nights I have been trying to go back to his night time routine again. He is now 12 pounds and I have read that they are able to sleep longer once they have enough weight on them.
So last night I bathed Baby J at 8, lotion and massaged him, fed him, rocked him and put him down in his crib. Some other problems that we were having is when I went to put him down he would automatically wake up. Turns out he is a tummy sleeper. Fine, we got that area worked out, but he was still waking up. So the genius I am patted his back once he was down for a few minutes and he was out like a light! Ok, so I did add some baby crack in this little experiment, too.
Baby Crack - white noise. You can buy special machines that play the sound of rain, ocean and so forth but all I do is turn one of his monitor handset's on without the main componet and all it is is static.
Baby J slept until 12:30! For him this is AMAZING! He has never slept this long with me holding him in bed. I also upped his food intake from 4 oz to 5 oz. Little piglet... he just wants to grow and grow!

Baby J had his first set of shots today. Poor little guy.
He actually did really well and only cried for a short amount of time! My little trooper!
And he doesn't seem to be too phased by them. He's just a little more snuggly today, which I don't mind one bit! :)

He is already 12 pounds and 21 inches long. No wonder I keep having to put his newborn clothes away.

What a night

We just got home from a 10 hour hospital trip for Jordan. :(
Yesterday he was spitting up all day, not sleeping and very fussy: ALL which is very uncharacteristic of him. As the evening progressed so did all of his symptoms. He acted like he was starving but as soon as I would go to feed him he would start crying uncontrollably. It was 1:00 AM and there was no sign of him going to sleep or letting up on his crying, so Marc made a call to the Childrens Hospital in Seattle. He relayed his symptoms, his behavior and wanted us down there immediately as it could be due to something irregular with his airway.
Our first hospital visit, damnit. I think this whole "parenting thing" finally set in for Marc as he had flashbacks of his mother driving him down to the emergency room for broken bones, stitches, fevers and so on. Now the table has turned and he was worried sick; as was I.
We checked in, the nurse looked over him, wrote down his symptoms and had the doctor come in. They thought his muscle leading from his stomach to his intestines was blocked and that was why he was throwing up and crying because he had no food in him. So we were off to take x-rays and an ultra sound. He also had to have blood drawn for lab work. Poor thing was poked and proded all night long! He finally went to sleep at about 4AM after he cried for 5 minutes while they took his blood. He slept for a good 3 hours.
Everything came back 100% perfect so they told us he has reflux. And at 10:30am we finally were able to go home. Jordan slept all day long, only waking up to feed. Marc and I were both exhausted and Jordan and I went to bed at 7:30 and didn't get out until 8. Happily, he has been all smiles today! His reflux medication seems to be working as he is holding more food down, too.
So our first emergency room visit... welcome to parenting!

My loving husband, who has taught me so much and takes care of me like no one else can
Little Baby J, who makes me speechless every time I look at him
The roof over our heads and the food in our fridge
My ability to be my own person while molding to my responsibilities
Rainy days, cozy blankets and warm tea
Sunny days, airy sandals and cold beer

But what I am most thankful for every day that I am alive and breathing. I am a mother, a wife, a best friend, a provider, a supporter, a creator, a day dreamer, a lover, a fighter... and I seem to add to this list everyday. If you were to tell me that this is what I become 5 years back, I would have laughed in your face. Not that I didn't want this life for me, but I would have figured there was no way possible.
It hasn't been the easiest journey but there is no such thing. I am proud to be the person I am today and would not have changed a single thing!

Happy Gobble Gobble Day!

Sorry for the gap in post's... but I thought it was time to update.
Baby J is growing and growing! He has learned this new trick: it's called smiling! It melts our hearts when we are talking to him and he just gets this big shit-eatin-grin on his little face! I have yet to capture it on camera but soon!

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving this year! We are having a gathering at our home with my parents, Marc's grandparents and some friends. Of course I am in charge of the desserts and Marc is in charge of the dinner. We make a great team! :)

Happy One Month!

Although it has been a long, stressful yet overly happy month, Marc and I cannot believe that Jordan has been here one month! Every time we look at him it seems like he has been with us forever. Each day is getting easier and better! I am getting out of the house more, getting more sleep and finally starting to adjust to the parenting ways; Marc and I are both adjusting which helps our relationship as well.

We went and bought a reusable tree the other night and I guess he was a little impatient about setting it up so he went ahead and got out my decor bins and started! My mom came down yesterday for the day and I took advantage of her making googly faces at Jordan and went ahead and finished lighting and decorating the tree.
So as you can see we decorate in blue and white. Any idea why?
Marc is Jewish and I grew up with celebrating Christmas. So we combined the two and we have what is called a Hanukkah Bush. :)

Some of you may know that I was very scared and intimidated of breastfeeding. The thought of having a baby on me all of the time really made me nervous. Well I am happy to say that I have been breastfeeding this entire time and each and every day it is getting easier and better! Although, I am really a walking boob buffet for Jordan. I think Marc is a bit jealous! :) I have not once in my life popped my boobs out as much as I have in the past 3 weeks! And can I say Pamela Anderson?! I was a perfect padded A cup... now I have hit the DD mark! It's a love hate relationship, I would say.
But I must confess: there are up's and down's and I weigh out the options everyday. (Formula or boob)
Pro's and con's:

I love the fact that breastfeeding burns calories. Not a lot but while I sit and be at Jordan's beckon call, it is nice to know that I am burning calories without ever putting my gym shoes on.
It calms Jordan down - immediately!
It's free! Formula is just so expensive!
Yes, it is helping us bond together, although I wish I had some of my independence back :)

I am still figuring out how to breast feed in public and it makes it hard to go anywhere for long periods of time.
Also how to juggle guests in our home.
I have to use a nipple shield as my ta-ta's don't want to cooperate!

I don't know how long I will keep this up. I may have to set mini goals for myself to keep it up. I have made it 4 weeks, so now I am going for 6, then 8.

Some sleep!
From the very first night we had Jordan sleep in his room as the thought of him sharing our bed didn't seem very appealing. The first two weeks were fine as he was getting up every 2-3 hours to eat: very normal for newborns. Well this past week he had been sleeping for only an hour in between feedings. Add that to an hour of feeding, rocking and putting him down - yup, about 4 hours of sleep for me. I was spent! I would fall asleep in the rocker but since I was up right I would wake up with horrible head and neck aches! I was a mess, very weepy and blue.
I did some research on sleep patterns and read the benefits of co-sleeping. So last night Jordan and I tried it out in the spare room. And guess what!? IT WORKED! He slept 3 hours straight in between feedings! I am a new person this morning!

This afternoon was a hard one. He woke up ate, ate and ate and would not go to sleep. He stayed awake for 5 hours, very cranky and I lost it. Sitting in his room, nursing and crying. Ugh - I told myself to be strong, I told myself not to over react but I guess it just had to happen. All I could think about were the things that I wanted to get done. I guess I must start thinking like a mom and putting my list on hold. Marc is at a meeting tonight as well and wont be home until about 9 or 10... I am sure this had something to do with my little out burst as well.
I feel better now that he is sleeping and I am putting some warm soup in my belly... also a cold beer. :) I just had to!

How to multi-task in a whole new way!
Marc thinks it is amazing that I can still do so much with a baby in my hand. So far I have accomplished the task of being able to read while I am nursing, I have already applied makeup with him on me, eaten meals and as of right now he is in my left arm sleeping on my shoulder... you should see how many spelling mistakes I have done! You just sort of adapt to this way. And if I didn't I would be going nuts from lack of freedom! In a few weeks I will probably try to keep him in my baby carrier and do household chores that way. I feel somewhat guilty for always having him sleep during the day so I can get stuff done. But really - isn't this what newborns do?
Eat.
Poop.
Sleep.
Repeat.

It's a hard life but someone has to do it!

I post regularly on The Bump - it is a pregnancy forum site that I have been going to since my first tri-mester. Now that I am on the 0-6 month board, I tend to always read about couples that are having issues ever since their baby came. Either their husbands not doing anything, not helping with chores, feeling disconnected from each other, not enough love... I could go on. And every time I do I feel a little bit of anxiety build in me - I am fearful that this will happen to us.

Marc has been more than wonderful during my pregnancy! I never had a complaint about him and we seemed to work together like clockwork. I know that their is a possibility of me getting postpartum depression, although I have never been diagnosed with depression in the past, but it is very common. I also have fear and anxiety about this as well. I have been staying very in-tune with my feelings, my body and every little thought or action i seem to analyze. I have a feeling that this may bring it on as well, instead of me just "going with the flow".

Now more than ever I need Marc: to be my back bone and support structure when I am week, to hold my hand when I feel scared and to look at me in my eyes and tell me that he loves me. I don't want to be the A-typical relationship during this time period. I want us to shine!

But I also have to remember not to forget about his feelings as well. I need to still hug, kiss and love on him as if nothing has changed. I never want him to feel like he is not getting enough attention from me; although the lack of our sex life is defiantly playing mind games on me right now. *Just a few more weeks!*

There is so much love in our home right now but we have to make sure it gets evenly divided - maybe that is the key.

The Story of Jordan's Birth

I went to my weekly doctors appointment that Tuesday morning. I was still only dilated at a 1CM and my cervix was very soft. Marc was very determined that I would progress that day, or so he was hoping.
I started having very dull cramps right after but nothing out of the ordinary; went along with my day like I always do. Around 7 PM they started to feel a little worse and I started to pay attention to the timing and intensity. I emailed my boss and put my out of office reply on... just in case.
Well they started to get worse and I was having pretty strong ones about 3 an hour, then 4 an hour. I went to go lay down and that is when they started to get worse, 10 minutes apart and stronger. I was having to breath through them now. Marc called the hospital, told them my timing and they said to come on in. We got our bags packed and left at 1 am. What a crazy car ride! We were both so nervous yet so excited!
Arriving at the hospital at 1:30 am made the past 9 months too real. The nurse hooked me up to the monitors but my contractions were not very strong and I was only at a 2 cm. She had me lay in different positions, bounce on a birthing ball and take walks around the halls. After 2 hours I was hooked back on the monitors and sure enough I was in early labor and they admitted me. Yay! We were a keeper!
My doctor came in at about 8:30, checked me and broke my water. I hadn't had my epidural admitted to me yet so I was a little scared since I knew my contractions would get stronger. And sure enough they did.
My epidural was put in at about 11:00 and I was ready for it. Let me say that was the strangest feeling I have ever felt! The pain wasn't that bad from the initial process but the feeling of something in your spine really skeeved me out. But after about 10 minutes I was in bliss and happy as a clam!
After about an hour I was already dilated to an 8! The nurses were very surprised and Marc and I were extremely happy! For the next 3 hours I was stuck at a 9 and they started a low dose of pitocin to get the final cm going. After 2 hours I was finally ready! At 5 PM my nurse wanted me to "practice pushing". Little did she know I didn't need much practice at all! Jordan was dropping fast and after 30 minutes he was right there; the doctor had yet to put his scrubs on and was still joking around at the nurses station. I had to hold back 2 contractions while we waited. As soon as he got in position I pushed for 30 seconds and I heard the most beautiful sound: a cry!
Even though I felt nothing, I was still a little out of breath so I just laid back, closed my eyes and tried to calm down and relax. I looked up and asked if it was a boy... this has been an ongoing joke in our house as we were still a little unsure that the ultra sound was wrong. My mom was crying and I saw Marc cut the umbilical cord over at their table then he came over, and we just held each other crying away. He told me how proud he was of me and what a wonderful job I did. I reassured him that I couldn't have done it with out him being there and staying strong. They cleaned Jordan off, brought him over and laid him on my chest. I was so overwhelmed and overjoyed - it was still so surreal!
I had a very easy labor with no complications of any kind. We feel very blessed and lucky!

The first night was tense. Jordan could not hold his temp and they had to keep taking him back to warm up under the lamps. Marc and I were both exhausted by the time morning came around. I was "trying" to breast feed but it was awkward and hurt like crazy. But they had me supplement formula as his jaundice levels were a little high and they told us that he needed to eat and poop it out. And of course being at the hospital is never a restful experience as nurse after nurse come in and check up every few hours.
The next day we were supposed to be able to go home at about 5:30. Jordan was able to keep his temp up on his own and breastfeeding was going a little better. They gave me a nipple shield as he was not having the easiest time latching on. I guess I have flat nipples: yay.
Jordan was all dressed and we were starting to put our bags together when I started to get the shakes and felt a little warm. I thought it was just nerves but I kept getting warmer and warmer. I asked the nurse to check my temp just to be safe. Indeed, I did have a temp.
Great - all I wanted to do was go home and here I go having a fever.
She had me take a shower just to get cleaned up a bit which felt great and was much needed! My shakes had gone away and she checked my temp again. This time it went up a degree from last time. I got so angry with myself and kept apologizing to Marc. He didn't understand why I was upset and told me that everything was going to be fine and that I needed to stay and get better. Obviously I had an infection somewhere.
They took a urine sample, which was NOT PLEASANT!, and I started antibiotics. Within an hour my fever had reduced almost back to normal. *Thank goodness!* We were still staying overnight but at least I was started to feel a bit better: still very sore but better.
That night was better. They only came in a few times to give me my medication and to do a quick check on Jordan. We were finally able to come home at noon. FINALLY!

Baby Jordan is home!

On October 15th at 6:06 pm, Jordan Mitchell entered this world and filled our hearts with love!
He was 7 pounds 7 ounces, 18 inches long and perfect! I was in labor for 17 hours and only pushed for 40 minutes... I've got to admit, it wasn't as bad as I imagined. Maybe it was the epidural; probably.
He looks just like his pappa!

I will write more but I am typing one handed and I need to go grab a cup of coffee.

6? Really? ... why didn't I think this would come? Here it is and while I would not say I am freaking out... well I guess I am a little. In a very good, normal way, however. BUT I am becoming a hermit. Not answering my phone, not going anywhere, just enjoying that last days of solitude. But I do know that my body is paying a toll on me mentally. I am sick of carrying around the extra weight, of looking in the mirror and seeing my belly get bigger and bigger. I miss my gym, I miss the way I used to eat and I really miss my old self. Although, my old self will never be me again. I have changed rolls: I am a mother. I must provide, care, protect and put myself second now. Although I still must protect who makes Tasha, me. My creative side, my corkiness and quirks and all of the elements in between. I still must take care of myself because without me the circle would not go around.

So, does anyone want to bet?

Yes, the picture is true: Marc and I are married. I am now a Kaye!
And if you are reading my blog, wondering why the hell you were not informed: NO ONE knew. And we did this on purpose.
This decision was for me, Marc and Jordan - no one else. Of course we had to have witness's, so we invited Marc's grandparents and my parents.
We were planning on getting married this past late summer but when we decided to try for a baby, and succeeded, I wanted to put the brakes on the wedding idea as it would have been too much for us this year. I for one did not want to look and feel pregnant in my wedding pictures. And the thought of going to wedding planners, sampling food, cake, getting my hair done... it all seemed to overwhelming.
Marc and I have been going back and forth around the idea of marriage for the past nine months. I was very opposed of the idea of going to the Justice of the Peace and settling on a "shotgun" wedding. But the closer we were to see the 40 week point, the better the idea was actually sounding. Legally it's easier for all of us and right now I am all about making life easier!

So let us fast forward to next year:
We will be re newing our vows and having an official reception. This will be our time to celebrate with family, friends and ourselves, and planning on our much needed honeymoon. Because believe me... we were both asleep by 8 PM Friday night!
Right now Marc is still getting used to wearing his ring on his finger. He has never worn jewelry, except for the occasional watch, and it is driving him nuts! Me, I have always worn rings so this is nothing new. But when the diamonds catch light and sparkle and shine, I always catch myself looking down at it.

October will always be a busy month for us: our anniversary, my birthday and Jordan's birthday... all within a few weeks of one another.

Even though Sunday's are the start of the week and the day before Monday, I really do love my Sunday's. Marc and I have a date day, plopped in front of the TV watching football, eating pizza, not caring about our showers or the fact that we are still in our pajamas at six o'clock at night.
This Sunday is no different. I woke up at my usual 6 am pee session and headed downstairs to start making my coffee. Did the dishes from the night before and relaxed for a few hours reading New Moon. I also took some banana's out of the freezer to make some banana bread to munch on during the day. Why this sudden burst of energy? Who knows... maybe I am nesting!

My mom bought me a new Pumpkin Spiced candle and between the smell of cinnamon and nutmeg from the bread and the burning of the candle, it smells quite "fallish" in our home.
I am feeling a bit better. With only 12 more days until my due date, Marc and I are doing whatever it takes to bring this baby home! I think he has dropped some as well; I am not out of breath as I reach the top of the stairs. But my stomach is still growing, let me tell you that! Let's just hope that the doc has some good news for me on Tuesday, like "WOW, you are 2 cm dilated!". Hey, a pregnant girl can wish, right?

Happy October 1st!
I love October! Not only is it full of spookiness and fun, but October is getting fuller and fuller by the minute!
It contains numerous birthdays, including my very own. Being an October baby, I have always had a strong bond with autumn and Halloween. It is the perfect weather to snuggle inside with tea or cider, read a great book and to be perfectly okay with the fact that winter is approaching. I don't know why but I have never been a big fan summer. I guess I don't like the heat, the burns, the constant plans to do something all of the time... fall and winter are my excuse to relax for a few months. I am also very excited to share this same passion with Jordan! Not only Halloween, but the holidays in general will be full of excitement and memories. I cannot wait to start little traditions with our family for them all.

Did you hear that? I have my very own family... just the thought brings so much joy to me and fills my heart with love! Call me corny and cheesy but it is the truth.
And because of this very thought, I have been building this very strong bubble around our little world and get very annoyed when something happens to interrupt our path and plans. I guess it is m motherly instinct kicking in... maybe?

But I must do a little venting with my awwwing.
Today was a shitty day: plain and simple. Jordan has been playing in my ribs ALL day long and they are very sore. So that means I cannot sit comfortably, I have been getting hot flashes, I have zero patience and have been on the verge of crying and screaming all at the same time. With so little time left, it feels like forever.

Vent over... for now.

October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I have not personally experienced breast cancer with anyone close to me but I know it effects millions of women a year. I do my part to help donate where ever I can because one day anyone of us could be next.

I had another weekly appointment this morning, another internal and my strep B test results back.
Here is a small wrap of what happened:
- lost 3 pounds ;), BP is great too
- negative on Strep B
- no dilation.. boooo
So much for the two dreams that Marc and I had last night. I dreamt that the doctor told me that I was 2 cm dilated and Marc had a dream that I was dilated as well. Oh well, I do have a few more weeks and Jordan better be ready to come out and start playing! And by my belly size, Jordan weighs aprox 8 pounds... this is somewhat scary to me. I was a little over 7 pounds as well as Marc: we are not very big people at all. With 2, give or take, weeks left I am just hoping that he stays at eight or is smaller than his prediction.

So while I have been sitting, anxiously waiting at home for his arrival I have been thinking and thinking; a lot about life: about my life, about Marc's life, about our life together, about Jordan's life and about our soon to be family life. With a little over two weeks to go, our household will be dramatically changed. Stay tuned for Friday's big news!!
